Arkansas men’s basketball coach Mike Anderson and new Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek were in Mounain Home Thursday night as the guest speakers at the Baxter County Razorback Club’s banquet at First United Methodist Church.

During a press conference prior to the event, Anderson talked about replacing Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon who together scored 35 points per game. Anderson says they have a young bunch of players who are now going to be the core of the team led by a young man who passed up the NBA draft to play another year for the Razorbacks.

Anderson just finished his seventh season as the Razorbacks’ head coach.

Yurachek was asked about the ongoing debate of playing a football game in Little Rock each season. He says that’s one of the top projects he has been working on since taking over in early December and after talking to a lot of people around the state, there are more factors than just the projected $5M in lost revenue it would cost the school by continuing to play at War Memorial Stadium that go into the decision. Jurachek says a solution is expected to be announed in the next few weeks.
