The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas and Arvest Bank reached their goal as they held their third-annual one-day fundraising blitz in Baxter and Marion Counties in support of the Food Bank’s Backpack Program. Friday’s “Feed the Pack” event resulted in $20,000 in donations allowing the Food Bank to provide 140,000 meals to food-insecure children throughout the Twin Lakes Area. In addition, 387 food items were also collected during Friday’s event.
Collections for “Feed the Pack” were accepted throughout various locations in Mountain Home, Gassville, Salesville, Flippin and Yellville. Arvest Bank’s Tiffany Watkins was thankful to everyone who donated and made it possible to reach the $20,000 goal.
