Traffic accident injures Bakersfield teen, brings charges

A traffic accident on U.S. Highway 160 Thursday morning in Howell County, five miles west of West Plains, has injured a 19-year-old from Bakersfield and led to charges. According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Logan Yeager was transported by a private vehicle to Baxter Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.Yeager was westbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck an approach and overturned multiple times. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the 1:35 a.m. accident and was ejected from the vehicle.

A hospital spokesperson says Yeager was not listed as a patient as of 10:30 Thursday morning.

South County EMS and the Howell County Rural Fire Department assisted at the scene.

In a separate report, Missouri Highway Patrol advises Yeager has been charged with driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
