A Harrison woman, 45-year-old Misty L. Blair, was booked into the Marion County Detention Center Wednesday on felony charges connected to two burglaries in 2010 in Yellville. In both cases, pillow cases were reported missing from beds in residences.

According to the probable cause affidavit prepared in 2011, two residential burglaries were reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on the afternoon of December 6, 2010.

The first incident was reported at a residence along north State Highway 14. Entry appeared to have been made through the back door of the residence using a crowbar type tool. A pillow case was reported missing from the bed in the master bedroom, along with a model 9-22 high standard revolver and jewelry valued at approximately $1,500.

A cigarette butt was found outside the residence in the driveway, with no ohters found anywhere around the house. The owner advised he did not know anyone who smokes. The cigarette butt was placed into evidence and sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for possible DNA evidence.

The second incident was reported later the same afternoon again along north State Highway 14. Like the first home, the second residence appeared to have been entered with a crowbar through a side door. Again, a pillow case was missing from a bed, along with jewelry, an antique small wooden box, two small hinged boxes covered with shells, an antique small round wooden box with a lid and a vintage jewelry box for rings and earrings.

In August 2011, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received notification from the Arkansas State Crime Lab the results of the DNA profile obtained from the cigarette butt evidence hit against a convicted offender identified as Blair.

Blair was incarcerated in the Arkansas Department of Correction at that time on similar charges out of Boone County, again involving entry through doors and using pillow cases from the residences to remove the stolen property.

The affidavit noted Blair had been booked over 20 times in both Arkansas and Missouri.

Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans told KTLO, Classic Hits 101.7 and The Boot Blair was served with a warrant from his office on the 2011 charges when she was released from the Missouri Department of Corrections.
