The winners of this year’s Mr. and Miss MHHS Award were announced Wednesday during Academy Celebration Day at Mountain Home High School. Twenty female students and 18 male students were interviewed for this year’s competition, but it was Courtney Green and Bradley Ludwig who took the titles of Miss and Mr. MHHS. In addition to their titles, both Green and Ludwig will receive $1,000 scholarships.

The first runners-up, receiving $500 scholarships, were Reese Wendfeldt and Anna Claire Lawrence. Second runners-up were Isaac McKay and Elizabeth Lewis. McKay and Lewis will both receive $250 scholarships.

Mr. and Miss MHHS has been sponsored by the Mountain Home High School FBLA Chapter since 1996 and is a contest in which faculty nominate students based on their achievements while in high school. These achievements can include school spirit, school involvement, academic achievements, leadership, career goals, community involvement, and overall attitude. Nominated students are interviewed by MHHS alumni and winners are chosen based on the interview process. The winning students are awarded scholarships funded by the Mountain Home Education Foundation.
