The Cotter City Council heard from Saturday Club President Annette Thrasher as she presented a check for $2,426.79 at Thursday evening’s regular monthly meeting. The funds will be used for maintenance of the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
The council, with all members present, also heard a National Historic Preservation proclamation.
In addition, Cotter Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary member Linda McCarthy advised the recent chili supper event raised $3,100 in funding to support the department.
The council also learned street paving will begin next month.
The next regular city council meeting is scheduled for May 24th at 6:00 p.m. at Cotter City Hall.
