Jacob King of Mountain Home was given four years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday on drug-related charges.

In early February, a vehicle driven by King was stopped by a Mountain Home Police officer, after being observed traveling left of the centerline of the highway.

The 36-year-old King, who was found to be on parole, was asked to exit the vehicle, and it was searched. The MHPD officer reported King had something in his hand, he would not relinquish. The officer and King were involved in a brief struggle, and King threw a small plastic bag he was holding back into the vehicle.

The bag was located. It contained a substance field-testing positive for methamphetamine.
