Three local residents were recognized among Arkansas State University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions’ outstanding students during its annual Convocation of Scholars honors program.
Outstanding students were selected by faculty in the individual degree programs to receive the awards for achievement, leadership and service to their respective departments and degree programs, both in the classroom and in the clinical experience.
Award winners in the School of Nursing included Jessica Knapp of Mountain Home in the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program.
Mallory Rorie of Flippin received the Dr. Donald Vollman Award in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
In the Department of Physical Therapy, Josh Nelson of Salem was recognized from the Mountain Home campus in the physical therapist assistant program.
