MH baseball, softball, soccer teams to compete in conference semifinals

The postseason continues for Mountain Home High School’s baseball, softball and soccer teams Tuesday as all will compete in the semifinals of the 6A-East Conference Tournament.

The Lady Bombers’ soccer team will once again have home field advantage as they welcome Jonesboro to the Twin Lakes Area. Mountain Home is the number two seed, and their record is 14-3-2 after their first round win over Jacksonville on Friday. The third-seeded Lady Hurricane advanced to the semifinals after beating up on West Memphis. Kickoff at Bomber Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m.

Mountain Home’s boys will be on the road as their semifinal opponent will be Searcy. The third-seeded Bombers won their opener over Jacksonville on Friday to improve to 15-1. The Lions are the number two seed, and they shut out Pine Bluff on Saturday. Action begins at 5:00.

The Mountain Home baseball team will head toward the Mississippi River for its semifinal game with Marion. The third-seeded Bombers’ record moved to 10-17 on Saturday with a win over Jacksonville. The Patriots are the number two seed, and their first round victory was over Pine Bluff. The first pitch is scheduled for 5:00.

Mountain Home’s softball squad will join their baseball counterparts at Marion on Tuesday. The fourth-seeded Lady Bombers’ first round game ended with the mercy rule going into effect as they routed Pine Bluff. This will be Marion’s first game in the tournament. The Lady Patriots had a first round bye as the top seed. The gametime is set for 5:00.
