The Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County will be hosting a Free Comic Book Day on Saturday from 10:00 in the morning until 1:00. There are a variety of themed events planned, and those who attend will receive a free comic, while supplies last.
Planned events include a Special Super Hero Story Time at 10:30, a costume contest at 11:30 and various activity stations.
Free Comic Book Day is a national event to promote reading for all ages.Comic books began in the 1930s as a unique American art form that has grown to spread around the globe. Today, there are comic books for every taste, from super-hero adventures to thrilling science fiction and intense drama.
