MH school board hires new high school assistant principals

The Mountain Home School Board filled the two assistant principal jobs at the high school during a special session Thursday night. Steve Morris and Mary Beth Russell were hired to fill the positions. Morris is currently an assistant principal at Hackler Intermediate School and Russell is a counselor at Hackler.

They replace Lindsey Blevins and Kyle McCarn. Blevins has been named the new principal at Pinkston Middle School, while McCarn has been hired as the new principal at the junior high.

The Mountain Home School Board also approved several hirings. Brooke Chapman was hired as a business teacher at the high school, Angela Justman and Laurie Bergenstock were hired as science teachers at the junior high, Sarah Quinney and Kerry Kanatzar were hired as teachers at Hackler, Ginger Parker was hired as SPED teacher at the junior high and Lee Jackson was hired as a choir teacher at Hackler.

A few transfers were also approved. Susie Adams switched jobs at Hackler, Amy Morrell changed teaching jobs at Hackler, Megan Strain becomes the new social studies teach at the junior high and Shannon Rucker is the new SPED secretary and will handle Medicaid billing.
