The Mountain Home High School soccer teams had mixed results as both played in the championship matches of the 6A-East Conference Tournament.

The Lady Bombers were able to take home the title after shutting out Searcy 1-0. The only goal was scored by Emma Jones off a corner kick by Sarah Swonger with 12 minutes left. Emma Martin recorded 13 saves. Mountain Home improves to 15-3-2, and their first game in the Class 6A State Tournament will be Friday at Russellville against the winner of Thursday’s game between Little Rock Hall and El Dorado.

The Bombers were not as fortunate on the boys’ side. Mountain Home fell just short of the conference championship as they lost to Jonesboro 2-1. The Bombers drop to 16-2 on the year, and their first state tournament game will be Friday against either Jacksonville or Benton.
