3 injured in 2 Ozark County accidents over the weekend

Three people were injured in two separate accidents in Ozark County over the weekend.

The first accident occurred Saturday night at 11:15 when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Jordan Evans of Squires ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Evans was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with minor injuries, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on Route JJ 1 mile north of Thornfield.

The second accident happened Sunday afternoon when a vehicle was attempting to make a left-hand turn and traveled off the roadway and overturned. Both the driver, 31-year-old Gina Brown of Caulfield, and her passenger, 34-year-old Eric Mondy of West Plains, were injured and taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains with minor injuries.

The accident occurred on Route V 5 miles northwest of Bakersfield.
