Heide selected to All Arkansas Preps team

A Mountain Home High School sophomore is being recognized for her athletic performance. Emily Heide was selected to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All Arkansas Preps tennis team.

Heide received the honor after finishing the season as the state champion in the Class 6A singles bracket. She also ended up as a semifinalist in the Overall State Tournament.

Heide will be among several athletes to be honored at an awards banquet June 19th in the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center at Little Rock. The evening will begin at 5:00 with an athlete meet-and-greet in the Statehouse lobby, and athletes will enter together during the Parade of Athletes at 6:00. Legendary track and field Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee will be the guest speaker.

Athletes to be honored will receive free admission but must reserve their tickets in advance. Parents will receive a special rate to attend the banquet. The remainder of the public can purchace tickets for $75, and a table of ten (priority seating) is available for $1,250. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets can be purchased online at allarkansaspreps.com.
