MH Friday Night Block Party kicking off this week

The Mountain Home Friday Night Block Party kicks off this week with the In Cahoots band. Music begins at 7:00 Friday night on the Baxter County courthouse square.

Ron Shire, the Music Coordinator for the event, appeared on KTLO-FM’s Talk of the Town, and he stressed the relaxed nature of the event.

The event will also feature a mechanical bucking bull to fit with the program. All area cowboys are encouraged to come out and try their luck.

In Cahoots plays a variety of music consisting of classic country, blues, and other genres of music. The current band started 11 years ago. The band members are Bobby Younger, Donnie Lee, Jerry Lee, Jerry Scott and Jeff Henthorne.

Holy Smokes will be on hand with barbecue and QT Cupcakes with sweet treats. The Baxter Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes. There will also be funnel cakes and lemonade. This week’s sponsor is attorney Andrew Bailey.
