Five people have been arrested following the execution of a search warrant in connection with a drug investigation involving occupants selling narcotics from a Mountain Home apartment.
According to the probable cause affidavits, the arrests came Thursday when officers from the Mountain Home Police Department and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force served a search warrant at the apartment along South Main Street.
A suspect previously identified as an occupant of the apartment was not present when the warrant was served. Instead, officers arrested four individuals sleeping through the residence with a strong odor of marijuana throughout the apartment.
Taken into custody were 55-year-old Kevin Sayre, 28-year-old Justin Sayre, and 25-year-old Jordan Gifford, all of Blytheville, and 20-year-old Samuel Nary of Mountain Home. Information obtained in the search led to the arrest of 22-year-old James Roberson of Lake City.
Officers located marijuana, digital scales, bags, pipes and other drug paraphernalia in the apartment. A safe contained additional marijuana and a .40 caliber pistol were also located. A receipt in the safe revealed a money transfer of $1,875 in Roberson’s name. Over $2,100 in currency was also found in the apartment and seized.
All were charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia for use of distribution of marijuana, as well as an enhancement violation of proximity to certain facilities and a misdemeanor drug offense. Nary also faces a felony count of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. His bond was set at $10,000. Bonds for the other four individuals were set at $5,000 each.
All are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in June.
