Christopher Yocham, who listed an address in Searcy when arrested, is charged with stealing thousands of dollars in scrap metal and tools from his employer.

The 42-year-old Yocham appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday where his attorney, Sam Pasthing of Flippin, announced there were no pre-trial issues to be brought before the court. Yocham was ordered to reappear July 26th.

The company alerted law enforcement to the suspected thefts on September 14th last year. At the time, the company was doing a job off Powerhouse Road in Lakeview.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the alleged theft was noticed when the job was completed, tools were gathered up and scrap metal sent to be sold.

Yocham, who was reported to be a job superintendent with the company, is alleged to have been selling scrap metal to a recycling business in Mountain Home over a period of months. He is alleged to have received slightly more than $17,500 for the metal, while returning only $2,000 to the company.

In addition, the company reported the loss of slightly more than $4,400 worth of tools.

Pasthing had entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client in early February.
