HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) – Authorities in Hot Springs say a standoff between a
homeowner and police has ended peacefully with the man’s arrest.

Little Rock television station KATV reports that 46-year-old Davy Rollins was
arrested shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday after an hours-long standoff.

The standoff began about 4 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a
domestic disturbance at a mobile home.

Hot Springs police spokesman Cpl. Kirk Zaner says a man reportedly struck two
family members with a pistol and then ran into the woods when officers arrived.
Zaner says the man later returned and opened fire. No officers were injured.

The suspect refused to leave the mobile home. Officers fired tear gas into the
home to force the man out but he remained inside for almost 12 hours before his
arrest.
