Brent Collom, who is charged with a number of crimes including breaking into a residence in Mountain Home occupied by a woman with whom he had had a relationship, entered a guilty plea to reduced charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 35-year-old Collom, who has addresses listed in Mountain Home and Tuckerman in various court records, was sentenced to 12 months probation on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Collom’s problems with the law started shortly before 2 a.m. October 26th, 2016 when Mountain Home Police officers were dispatched to a residence after an anonymous tip came in reporting drug activity was going on at the woman’s residence involving juveniles. Officers went to the address and found the house quiet. The tip call was traced to Collom, and it was also noted an Order of Protection had been requested by the victim.

At 5:45 a.m., police returned to the residence after a 911 call came in reporting Collom had broken into the house. The victim said she awoke to find Collom standing over her. According to the victim, Collom had grabbed her and tossed her across the room. She said she then fled the house.

About three hours later, police were called to the house again when Collom was reported to have returned to the residence. He was taken into custody at that point.
