Driver injured, vehicle travels through fences on both sides of road

A Mountain Home woman, 56-year-old Nancy Montgomery, was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center Monday morning for treatment of an incapacitating injury following a one-vehicle accident.

According to the report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery was traveling east on Baxter County Road 16. The vehicle’s window reportedly was fogged, with Montomery driving into the sunrise.

Her vehicle left the roadway, crossed a ditch and traveled through a fence. The report indicates Montgomery’s vehicle then followed the fence before crossing it and the roadway, then entered the ditch on the opposite side of the road and traveled through a second fence prior to coming to rest in a field.

The report notes the road was dry and the weather conditions were clear at the time of the 6:27 a.m. accident.
