Hoops player wins MH Athlete of the Year award

A stand out on the Mountain Home High School girl’s basketball team has been selected as the Jim Holsted Athlete of the Year. Hannah Pfiefer was selected from a list of five finalists to receive the award which was presented during a banquet Monday night.

Pfiefer led the Lady Bombers in scoring at 17 points per game was finished the season as the fifth ranked three-point-shooter in the nation by MaxPreps with 138 made three pointers. She was named All-State and All-Conference, was named to the Arknasas Basketball Coaches Association Top 5 Team for Class 6A, will play in the Arkansas Coaches Association All-Star game next month and signed a national letter of intent to play at College of the Ozarks.

Other finalists for the award included Isaac McKay, Maly Tabor, David Wehmeyer and Read Parker.
