Missouri woman ejected when vehicle strikes deer

A Moody woman, 53-year-old Michelle Cunningham, sustained serious injuries and was transported by Air Evac Lifeteam to Cox Hospital in Springfield Wednesday morning when her vehicle struck a deer.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on State Route 142, 2 miles east of Moody. Cunningham was traveling east when her vehicle hit the deer and overturned, ejecting her.

Her vehicle was towed from the scene of the 5:45 a.m. crash. The report indicates no safety device was used in the vehicle.
