An Elizabeth woman, 50-year-old Amie Brassfield, was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment of an incapacitating injury following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Hand Cove Road.
According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Brassfield was traveling north on Hand Cove Road when her vehicle left the roadway near Baxter County Road 149. Her vehicle traveled along the ditch before striking a concrete bridge. The vehicle went over and skidded along the top of the bridge, landing in the roadway and overturning before coming to rest on its top in a ditch.
Brassfield’s vehicle was towed from the scene. The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of 7:37 a.m. accident.
