Head-on collision sends vehicle into woods

Two vehicles were towed from the scene of a head-on collision Thursday afternoon on Baxter County Road 27, with possible injuries reported.

According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Christopher Crow of Oakland was traveling north on County Road 27 and reported his left eye began to water and burn from a flash burn sustained on the job. As Crow cleared his eye, his vehicle veered into the oncoming lane where it collided head-on with an SUV driven by 33-year-old Megan Staley of Mountain Home.

Staley’s vehicle spun, traveling down a hill and into the woods.

While neither driver required immediate medical attention, the report noted a possible injury to Staley.

The road was dry and the weather was clear at the time of the 4:30 p.m. accident.
