After the ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman said he’d be collaborating with the ZZ Top singer/guitarist, the two have announced a new song together. The track, “Holy Grail,” will arrive digitally on June 8. Fogerty wrote the song, while Gibbons contributed his vocal and guitar talents to the tune.

For a preview of the track, you can listen to a 30-second snippet now via Fogerty’s YouTube.

“I am so happy to be playin’ and singin’ with the Reverend BFG,” says Fogerty. “That Sharp Dressed Man, himself. This is the Holy Grail!”

Adds Gibbons, “It’s not an overstatement to say that writing a song with John Fogerty is a genuine bonus!”

Billy also notes, “It’s fair to say that John and I are both pumped about our collaboration and we think this new one called ‘Holy Grail’ holds true with some great storytelling and some solid guitars movin’ the number right along. It begs a shout of, ‘Turn it up!'”

If you need even more Fogerty and Gibbons in your life, John and ZZ Top kick off their joint Blues and Bayous tour this Friday, May 25, in Atlantic City. The trek concludes June 29 in Welch, Minnesota.
