Credit: Marya GlurLegendary British Invasion band The Zombies will be invading the U.S. again this September, when they mount a brief West Coast tour. The seven-date trek gets underway on September 7 in San Francisco and is plotted out through a September 18 concert in Seattle.
In addition to San Francisco, the outing includes performances at five other California venues as well as a September 17 show in Portland, Oregon. Among the gigs is a previously announced appearance at the KAABOO Del Mar festival in Del Mar, California.
Prior to the run of U.S. shows, The Zombies will tour their U.K. homeland in June. The band’s 2018 itinerary also includes a fall European trek with veteran U.K. hard rockers Uriah Heep that will feature shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Scandinavia. In other news, a limited-edition colored-vinyl version of The Zombies’ influential 1968 album Odessey and Oracle will be released this Friday, May 25, exclusively at Newbury Comics stores and at NewburyComics.com. The band mounted a special tour last year in honor the album’s 50th anniversary.
