Tonya Daniels of Mountain Home entered a guilty plea to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to four years probation.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the 36-year-old Daniels was arrested after Mountain Home police found her and a male companion in Clysta Willett Park in mid-December last year.

The male was a probationer with a search waiver on file. While speaking to Daniels and the male, the officer noticed a marijuana pipe in the door pocket on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The vehicle and both occupants were searched. Daniels had a cloth bag in her pocket containing three used syringes. One of the syringes containing a clear liquid field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

Daniels was sentenced under provisions of Act 346, meaning if she stays out of trouble during her probation, she can apply to the courts to have her record sealed.
