A mountain lion sighting in Fulton County has authorities warning area residents to be on the lookout for the big cat. KAIT reports the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission posted on its Facebook page a picture of the mountain lion taken with a game camera near Mammoth Spring near the Fulton/Sharp County line and received by the agency. The picture was taken in January and sent to the agency earlier this month.

Biologists with AGFC confirmed the picture is of a mountain lion.

The sighting is the 14th since 2010 according to officials.

Game and Fish officials say mountain lions usually avoid humans and keep to themselves. Anyone who sees a mountain lion is asked to call the local Game and Fish office.
