In celebration of National Cancer Survivors Day, the Peitz Cancer Support House of Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) is hosting “Together We’re Reel Survivors” on Saturday from 9:00 until 2:00. The event will take place at the Big Spring Park in Cotter.

Activities include a survivor walk across Cotter Bridge, fly fishing and kayak lessons and demonstrations, a nature walk and a variety of other activities.

The event is a celebration for those who have survived, an inspiration for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of support for families and an outreach to the community. Men, women, and children of all ages are encouraged by the center to attend.

There is no fee to attend the event, but registration is required to participate. Go online to www.baxterregional.org/events for the event schedule and to download a registration form. Those wishing to register can also do so by stopping by the Peitz Cancer Support House, located on the BRMC campus across Hospital Drive from the Cline Emergency Center entrance.
