Earlier this month when law enforcement officers served a warrant at an apartment along Main Street in Mountain Home, they found four individuals sleeping in the residence. What they didn’t find is the individual they were seeking with the warrant as part of a drug investigation involving occupants of the apartment allegedly selling narcotics from the residence. Tuesday afternoon, officers from the Mountain Home Police Department and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force got their man, 25-year-old Harley David Hoskins of Gassville.

Hoskins was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, marijuana; possession of a firearm by certain persons, meaning Hoskins is a felon; and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. He also faces a charge of proximity to certain facilities and a misdemeanor count, as well as being a habitual offender.

His bond was set at $15,000.

When officers served the search warrant in early May they took four individuals into custody, 55-year-old Kevin Sayre, 28-year-old Justin Sayre, and 25-year-old Jordan Gifford, all of Blytheville, and 20-year-old Samuel Nary of Mountain Home. Information obtained in the search led to the arrest of 22-year-old James Roberson of Lake City.

Officers located marijuana, digital scales, bags, pipes and other drug paraphernalia in the apartment. A safe containing additional marijuana and a .40 caliber pistol was also located. A receipt in the safe revealed a money transfer of $1,875 in Roberson’s name. Over $2,100 in currency was also found in the apartment and seized.

All were charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia for use of distribution of marijuana, as well as an enhancement violation of proximity to certain facilities and a misdemeanor drug offense. Nary also faces a felony count of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. His bond was set at $10,000. Bonds for the other four individuals were set at $5,000 each.

All are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in June.
