Capitol NashvilleLittle Big Town will open Wednesday’s CMT Music Awards with the first performance of their new single, “Summer Fever.” You won’t have to wait that long to see the video, though, because it’s set for an early premiere Wednesday at midnight at CMT.com.
The “Summer Fever” clip was shot along the section of Florida coastline known as 30A, with LBT biking along Watersound Beach. Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet also stroll along the boardwalk, before the video turns into a full-on beach party.
You’ll be able to stream or download “Summer Forever” on Wednesday as well. Its video will air on CMT for the first time at 4 a.m. ET on Thursday and will play hourly on CMT Music starting at 6 a.m.
The foursome is following up on a couple of summer success stories by unveiling “Summer Fever” on the CMT Awards. They debuted “Pontoon” on the show in 2012, followed by “Day Drinking” in 2014. Both songs went to #1.
