The Boss will be a special guest of The Tangiers Blues Band at the show, which will be headlined by alternative-rock act Portugal. The Man and is scheduled for Monday, June 18.

It’s worth noting that The Tangiers Blues Band’s lineup includes noted rock photographer Danny Clinch, who has done many photo shoots with Springsteen.

The Asbury Lanes website has launched a contest offering the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show, as well as an overnight stay at the new Asbury Hotel near the club. Two winners will be chosen, and entries will be accepted until June 10 at noon ET.

The site also is hosting a lottery offering 100 Asbury Park residents the opportunity to win two tickets the event. Those interested have until this Thursday, June 7, at 8 a.m. to send their admissions.  Some proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Asbury Lanes opened during the late 1960s as an 18-lane bowling alley, and bands started playing there in the early 2000s. The venue closed for renovations in 2015, and reopened this year over Memorial Day weekend. The club currently has shows booked into October.

Bruce, meanwhile, begins a new series of performances of his Springsteen on Broadway show at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City tonight. The show’s run is scheduled through December 15. In addition, Springsteen will receive a Special Tony Award for the production at this Sunday’s ceremony.
