Liam Gallagher loves Mick Jagger, but not his fashion sense

Joe Maher/Getty ImagesThough Liam Gallagher called it “a dream come true to be asked to open for The Mighty Rolling Stones” last month, his admiration apparently doesn’t extend to the visual appearance of his idol, Mick Jagger.

According to NME, the former Oasis singer scoffed when asked if he appreciated Jagger’s fashion sense. “Mick Jagger, f***ing come on man,” Gallagher exclaimed during an on-air interview with the U.K.’s Absolute Radio. “I’m not getting into his gear, skinny little thing isn’t he.”

Liam must feel at least marginally better about Mick’s clothing choices than those of another singer.  When the subject of pop star Ed Sheeran was raised, Gallagher retorted that he’d “rather be naked [or] set fire to myself” than wear Sheeran’s styles.

Liam Gallagher told the NME last year “when I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror I just see a rock n roll singer with a dash of punk, and loads of charm. I don’t see myself as an Ed Sheeran or a Bob Dylan.”

Liam Gallagher last week posted the video for “I’ve All I Need,” a track from his debut solo album, As You Were. You can watch the clip now on YouTube.
