North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC) will celebrate 78 years of serving members during its annual meeting Thursday at the Salem Civic Center on the Fulton County Fairgrounds. The event will begin a 2:00 with registration and conclude at 7:00 with the business session.
Governor Asa Hutchinson’s public schedule for the week indicates he will be speaking at 7:00.
Members are invited to join NAEC for a day filled with fun and games for all ages, as well as a barbecue meal. Entertainment will feature country group Diamond Rio, magician Scott Davis, bingo, and a variety of other activities.
NAEC encourages visitors to stay to the end of the business meeting. The meeting will include the election of two members to serve on the board of directors. A brief summary of cooperative operations, as well as other reports, will also be presented.
Additionally, registered members will be eligible to win a retired service truck and other prizes. NAEC requests each member bring his or her unique registration card to the annual meeting to speed up the registration process. The registration cards were mailed to members in May with copies of the agency’s annual report.
