Taste of the Twin Lakes winners announced

A sold out crowd attended the 10th annual Taste of the Twin Lakes benefiting Serenity Incorporated in Mountain Home Tuesday night at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. The event features area restaurants serving food as they compete in several categories. Thirteen restaurants took part in the event this year.

In the casual dining category, the first place entree went to Big Daddy’s Lakeside Seafood with Cooyon’s second. Letty’s Mexican Restaurant won the best appetizer with Cooyon’s second. Letty’s also was voted the best dessert with Big Daddy’s second.

In the fine dining category, best entree went to Lake Country Cookhouse with P.J.’s second. P.J.’s won best appetizer with Avery’s Eatery second. The best dessert was won by Lake Country Cookhouse with P.J.’s second.

The people’s choice award for casual dining went to Holy Smokes. P.J.’s won the people’s choice in the fine dining category.

The proceeds from The Taste of the Twin Lakes benefit the Serenity shelter which helps men, women and children who are victims of violence in the Twin Lakes Area.
