The city of Mountain Home was recognized as a commercial historic district in 2010, and a local citizen has been diligently working to make it more official. Maryanne Edge of Mountain Home heard of the city’s official recognition and decided to take action by getting signs with the designation approved and placed around the city.

Though it has taken a few years, Edge’s persistence has resulted in official signs going up throughout the historic district of the city.

In addition to the smaller signs, Edge hopes to secure a larger sign for the courthouse.

Edge says she has received a quote from a sign making company in Texas for $743, but would like to keep the business local if possible.
