Mountain Home’s First Lego League team, The Razorbots, is asking the public for help in getting to California to participate in the 8th Annual First Lego League Global Innovation Award, a competition designed to showcase innovative solutions to real-world problems.
KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot news sat down with three members of the Razorbots, including Olivia Martin, Maggie Thompson and Aj Dyess, to discuss the team’s project and upcoming trip.
According to Dyess, this year’s theme dealth with water.

As a result of the team’s success at the regional and state competitions, Thompson says the team will be moving forward.

The competition will take place on June 21st in San Jose, California. The grand prize team will receive $20,000 to go toward the development of the their project. Second and third place teams will each receive $5,000 for the same purpose.

The team is asking the community for help getting to California and also with essentials once they arrive, such as hotel stays and meals. Thompson says there are a number of ways one can help.
