AR Forestry Commission honors top employees

The Arkansas Forestry Commission has recognized its employees of the year for 2018.

County Forester Tabitha Holloway was selected as the District Eight Employee of the Year. Holloway is the county forester for Fulton and Sharp counties.

The Arkansas Forestry Commission has also presented its annual service awards. Those recognized locally include Cody Burrow of Marion County and Francis Clagett of Boone County for 20 years of service and Jack Coy of Baxter County and Shawn Smith of Newton County for 10 years of service.

The mission of the Arkansas Forestry Commission is to protect Arkansas’s forests, and those who enjoy them, from wildland fire and natural hazards while promoting rural and urban forest health, stewardship, development and conservation for all generations of Arkansans.
