This week has been the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Game on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Conway, a pair of area athletes were able to contribute to their teams.
The East swept the West in the baseball doubleheader with scores of 3-1 and 4-2. Mountain Home’s Gage McClain had a single in the sixth inning of the first game to send Jonesboro’s Cameron Poston to third base. Poston later scored that inning.
The volleyball match ended with the West topping the East in four sets. Harrison’s Katelynn Grant gave the West the lead in the fourth set with a service ace, and the West went on to clinch the match.
