Courtesy of Sammy HagarSammy Hagar is known for loving rock ‘n’ roll, fast cars and a good party, and the Red Rocker is putting all three together for his inaugural High Tide Beach Party & Car Show, scheduled for Saturday, October 6, at Huntington Beach, California.
Hagar and his star-studded backing band The Circle — featuring ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Jason Bonham — will co-headline the bash with REO Speedwagon. Ex-Motley Crue singer Vince Neil and Chickenfoot guitarist Joe Satriani will join Hagar and The Circle as special guests, while the event’s lineup also includes Green Day drummer Tre Cool‘s side project Dead Mermaids, ska-punk veterans Reel Big Fish and others.
The bash also will offer an expansive display of unique automobiles, including luxury, exotic, custom-made, classic and movie cars. In addition, the party will feature a variety of beach activities and games, several bars, and a temporary beachside version of Sammy’s Cabo Wabo Cantina that will serve a specially curated food and drink menu.
The High Tide Beach Party & Car Show takes place one week before Hagar celebrates his 71st birthday.
“I’ve been trying to throw this party on the beaches of Cabo for a decade and am thrilled someone’s finally letting me do it and from one of the coolest beach cities in America — Huntington Beach,” says Hagar. “This will be like my annual birthday bash on steroids. Surf’s up is an understatement.”
Tickets will go on sale top the general public this Friday, June 29, at 7 a.m. PT /10 am ET, while pre-sale tickets will be available starting Thursday, June 28, at 7 a.m. PT.
