Local baseball teams continue tournament play Saturday

Baseball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule as several teams will be in tournament play.

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team will continue action in the Charleston Fighting Squirrels #GoNuts Classic in Missouri. The Lockeroom will take the field at noon.

Bracket play begins as Mountain Home continues to host the Cal Ripken North Arkansas 10-Year-Old State Tournament. The Sharks will be on the major field Saturday evening at 5:00 as they play the winner of the 1:00 game on the minor field between Madison County and Rogers.
In the other games, Harrison meets Pocahontas at 11:00 on the rookie field, and the winner faces the top-seeded Batesville Bandits at 3:00 on the major field. Brookland takes on Bentonville at 11:00 on the major field, and the winner gets Blytheville at 3:00 on the rookie field. At 1:00, Jonesboro plays Northeast Arkansas on the major field, and the Batesville Bullets meet Delta on the rookie field. The winners play at 5:00 on the rookie field.

The Mountain Home 12-year-old Cal Ripken team begins bracket play in the North Arkansas State Tournament at Rogers. The local team plays at 4:00 against the winner of the noon game between Ozark Tri-County and Siloam Springs.

The Mountain Home 11-year-old Cal Ripken team will play its first game in the North Arkansas State Tournament at Blytheville. The Fury will take the field at 1:00.

The Mountain Home seven-year-olds will have their opener in the North Arkansas State Tournament at Harrison. The Cardinals take the field at 10:00 against Springdale.
