Lockeroom splits 1st 2 games in Missouri tourney; MacLeod splits doubleheader with Harrison

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team has had mixed results in its first two games in the Charleston Fighting Squirrels #GoNuts Classic in Missouri.
The Lockeroom began on Friday in Sikeston with a 4-3 victory over Kennett Ultimate. Gage McClain struck out eight batters and gave up five base hits. Samuel Stower led the Mountain Home offense with two doubles and an RBI.
The Lockeroom did not fare as well in their second game Saturday as they lost to Scott City Tropic 4-3. Hunter Wojcik suffered the defeat on the mound.
Mountain Home’s next opponent in the tournament will be Columbia Sunday morning at 10:00.

The Mountain Home MacLeod American Legion team ended up splitting a doubleheader with Harrison on Saturday. Harrison edged out MacLeod in the opener 9-8, but Mountain Home took the second game 8-3.
