Courtesy of Subafilms Ltd.As previously reported, a restored version of the classic animated Beatles film Yellow Submarine will be screened in theaters across North America this July in celebration of the movie’s 50th anniversary. Now comes word that a special “Sing-a-Long” version of the film will be shown in select cinemas.

The updated flick will give moviegoers the chance to belt out the lyrics of many classic Beatles tunes as they watch the movie. Among the memorable Fab Four songs featured in Yellow Submarine are “Eleanor Rigby,” “When I’m Sixty-Four,” “Nowhere Man,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “All You Need Is Love” and, of course, the title tune.

Inspired by the 1966 Beatles tune of the same name, Yellow Submarine features animated likenesses of the Fab Four, who take a surreal, psychedelic journey beneath the sea as they try to help bring music and love back to the people of Pepperland after an attack by the evil Blue Meanies and their henchmen.

The updated version Yellow Submarine boasts 4K digital resolution and 5.1 stereo surround-sound audio. Visit YellowSubmarine.film to find out when and where the screenings are taking place near you.
