An Arkansas State University student from Mountain Home can claim the honor of national champion. At the recent Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) national conference and competition in Baltimore, Bryston Hickman became the sixth PBL champion in school history.

Hickman won the award in “Organizational Behavior and Leadership,” a category he had also won in April at the state leadership conference in Little Rock. In addition, he teamed up with fellow Mountain Home graduate Sam Reagan, and the duo finished second in website design. Hickman is a senior at Arkansas State majoring in psychology.

A few other A-State students from Mountain Home were also recognized at the national conference. Reagan finished second in “Programming Concepts,” and the team of Zoe Parsons and Jordan Womack ended up in seventh place in “Management Analysis.” The university was also named the largest PBL chapter in the United States.

PBL is the college division of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and provides help and preparation to members for business-related careers.
