A Salem man received serious injuries following a motorcycle accident Friday morning in Howell County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Brendan Clements was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield from the accident scene eight miles south of West Plains.
Clements was reportedly traveling northbound on Missouri Highway 17 when he hit a deer. His motorcycle ran off the roadway and overturned. A hospital spokesperson says Clements was not listed as a patient.
Clements’ motorcycle had extensive damage from the 7:30 a.m. accident.
