Twin Lakers split openinig playoff games

Mountain Home’s semi-pro basketball team had mixed results Friday as they began the postseason in Conway. The Twin Lakers split the first two games with the Rock City Nine in a best-of-three semifinal in the Battleground Basketball Association Playoffs.

Mountain Home took the first game 81-68. Josh Tarver led the Twin Lakers with 24 points, Quinton Pippen scored 19, Treysen Hambleton had 16 points including a half court buzzer beater to end the third quarter, and A.J. Walton added 11 points and grabbed ten rebounds.

Mountain Home did not fare as well in game two as Rock City picked up the 86-75 victory. The Twin Lakers were led by Walton with 24 points, Donovan Shaw chipped in 17, Tarver finished with 11 points, and Jordan Chatters III ended up with ten.

The deciding game of the series will be July 13th at 7 p.m. on the campus of Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock.
