Three Boone County residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening, resulting in the death of a Carroll County man.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the driver of the first vehicle, 74-year-old Darold L. Johnson of Berryville, was killed when his vehicle struck another vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Mason Binam of Harrison. Binam and two passengers, both listed as minors, were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield to be treated for injuries.
The accident report indicates Johnson was driving north on Highway 221, approximately seven miles north of Berryville, when he crossed the center line and struck Binam head on.
Weather conditions were listed as clear and the road dry at the time of the 9:35pm accident.
