Courtesy of Rogers & CowanAfter being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with his band in April, Moody Blues singer/bassist John Lodge has now announced a new series of fall U.S. solo shows as part of his ongoing 10,000 Light Years tour. The trek features eight dates at various East Coast venues, kicking off October 12 in Nashville and running through an October 23 concert in the Boston suburb of Arlington, Massachusetts.

In a message on his official Facebook page, Lodge writes, “I am so excited to get on the road & perform my favorite songs! Hope to see you all there!!”

Lodge’s previous U.S. solo tour leg took place in fall 2017 and coincided with the release of his Live from Birmingham — The 10,000 Light Years Tour concert video and album. The release documented a September 2016 solo gig Lodge played in his hometown of Birmingham, U.K., that featured performances of songs from his 2015 solo album, 10,000 Light Years Ago, as well as a selections of popular and more obscure Moody Blues tunes.

John recently told ABC Radio that, as he did with his 2017 concerts, his upcoming dates will feature a set similar to the one he played in Birmingham.

“For me, the Live from Birmingham album is an important album,” he maintained, “and I really want to share it as much as I can with everyone.”

The solo trek will begin immediately after The Moody Blues’ upcoming Las Vegas residency at the Wynn resort and casino, which is scheduled from September 19 to October 6.

Meanwhile, Lodge’s Moody Blues band mate, singer/guitarist Justin Hayward, has his own U.S. solo trek lined up in August and early September.
