Malachi McCurdy, MD, has joined the medical staff at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Dr. McCurdy is a general surgeon in practice at Ozark Surgical Group.
He was born and raised in a small community in central Indiana. McCurdy served on multiple medical mission trips to Kenya, Honduras, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic before graduating summa cum laude from Anderson University with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and biology. He attended the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed a general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
An Ironman athlete, Dr. McCurdy enjoys triathlons, mountain climbing, hunting, fishing, and living an active lifestyle. BRMC officials say McCurdy and his fiancée, Hannah, are looking forward to living and practicing in the Mountain Home area.
