One person was seriously injured in a plane crash at Gaston’s White River Resort near Lakeview Wednesday night. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the man, whose identity has not been released, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Authorities have not said whether the plane was landing or taking off.
Montgomery says deputies secured the crash site and stayed with the wreckage throughout the night.
The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to arrive early Thursday morning to begin their investigation into the crash.
It’s the second plane crash at the resort in less than one month. One person received minor injuries in a crash June 17th.
